L&H Safety Management

The Challenge: In a desire to improve the delivery of safety and environmental management performance within their marketplace Nixon Homes invited L&H Safety & Environmental Management to review their safety policy and safety management documentation.; The brief was to develop a lean management system based upon OHSAS 18001/ ISO 14001 international management specifications. The system was aimed at the entire organisation including employees and contractors working on their projects.
The Solution: As a co-author of the IOSH “Systems In Focus” technical guidance document, L&H Safety & Environmental Management were well placed to develop unique mapping exercises around which the management system was developed. Although the scope of this system was much greater than the original one, the final document had been slimmed down by 90% thus benefiting the client with greater understanding and control over their statutory safety and environmental duties.
